Really enjoyed my time at GTI Galway when I was asked to give a talk to some students about working with children who have additional/extra needs.The group of students provided me with some very interesting questions about my line of work. It was my first time doing this kind of thing but I really enjoyed passing on some valuable information & tips for them
My return trip to India with the Hope Foundation, this time I managed to drag my husband John along! Amazing to see how the Hope Foundation have improved things for the children in Kolkata since my last trip in 2016. The amount of support we received at home was humbling and big thank you to those who gave their time or donated which helped raise
I am delighted to let everyone know after our final fundraising event at Centra in Moycullen we have surpassed our target of €10,000! Thanks so much to everyone that helped and to those who supported us over the last year…I am so grateful. Looking forward to my return trip to help the Hope Foundation in Kolkata, India.
It has been a busy but very successful couple of weekendswith my ice cream fundays. Last week I did it at the Moycullen Friday market & this weekend I started at the Moycullen market at 11 until 3:30, then I went to Killannin pitch as the Feile was on & I set up from 4:30 until 8:30 then yesterday morning I went to Moycullen
Official opening of the Down Syndrome Galway West centre in Moycullen. Such an amazing afternoon and massive congratulations to the Committe members & all involved in getting this wonderful centre up and running.
What a fantastic day we had today with our ice cream funday at the Moycullen Street Feast, we raised €1043.14 for Down Syndrome Ireland! Thank you so much to everyone who supported this event and again to the hard working helpers: Sophie Mullarkey, Sorcha McGee, Cola Murphy, Gillian Shaw, Anne Egan, Mary Howley, & Maureen Cox…could not do it without you all!

Attended a great and informative course at the Connact Hotel yesterday, Numicon is a proven system for teaching maths to young children. It is a multi-sensory approach, built on a proven track record that raises achievement across all ability levels with problem-solving, reasoning and conversation at its heart.
Just back from Limerick after attending the “Handwriting without Tears” full day course. It was an amazing course full of valuable information which will benefit the children I work with. Tania Ferrandino did an outstanding job in presenting this course. I can’t wait to start using these teaching methods. The course was sponsored by Sensational Kids, do check out their website.
